Countryside Area

Due to limited space and the format of the 2021 event, there will be no Countryside marquee this year. There will be some outdoor space available. In the first instance, the Secretary will be offering spaces by invitation to regular supporters of the Honley Show.

Do you run a club or organization in the Kirklees area? Want to tell more people about what you do, or gain new members?

The Countryside Area is a fantastic place to showcase whatever you do.

The Countryside Area has both outdoor and undercover facilities. For as little as £25 for an outdoor pitch, and £50 in the marquee, it’s a cheap way to engage with potential members or volunteers and raise your profile in the community.

Stick makers

Regrettably there will be no Stick Makers Competition this year.

However there will be a stick making demonstration taking place in the marquee – see the highly skilled work that goes into making one of these traditional countryside symbols. You may be inspired to have a go yourself, or treat yourself to one of the fine examples on sale.
