Arts and Crafts Exhibition and Competitions 2026<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

A \u00a0great opportunity to exhibit your wonderful Handicrafts at the Honley Show.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We hope you\u2019ll join us in our marquee to display your creativity on 27th<\/sup> June 2026<\/strong>. New and regular exhibitors, experienced and beginners, adults and children are extremely valued. Visitors are inspired by your work, love to see what is possible and have a go themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

No entry fee is required<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A group of specialist judges will view the exhibits and provide rosettes for exhibits which show skill, originality and impact.<\/span><\/p>\n

All you need to do is complete the Entry form, accessible via the button below. Study the 2026<\/strong> Handicraft schedule<\/strong> and complete the entry form<\/strong>. Return the form to the Secretary of Handicraft Section either by post or email. Details are on the entry form return for Friday 19th<\/sup> June<\/strong>. Make sure you show the size of your entry and the Handicraft class you have chosen. Children\u2019s Exhibits should also include their age. Entries need to be brought to the marquee either Friday 26th June before 6pm or Saturday 27th June<\/strong> morning before 8.45 am.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Regulations and conditions for all exhibitors in these sections<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. All exhibits to be presented in the marquee by 8<\/strong>.45am<\/strong> on the day of the show<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. All exhibits must be the production and property of the exhibitor<\/strong> and must not have been previously entered at Honley Show<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The Society cannot be held responsible for loss or damage<\/strong> to exhibits during or after the exhibition<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. No exhibits to be removed before 4.<\/strong>30pm<\/strong> on the day of the show<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Prizes will be awarded entirely at the Judge\u2019s discretion and can be collected from 4.30pm<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  6. The exact age of the exhibitor must be stated on all Children\u2019s Entry forms<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  7. All Entry forms should be received by the Handicraft Secretary by Friday 19th June 2026<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Children\u2019s Section
    \nAge 3 – 17 years inclusive<\/span><\/h3>\n

    Rules:<\/strong>
    \n<\/span>Exhibitors must be under 17 years of age<\/strong> on show day.<\/span>
    \nExhibits must have the exact age of the child clearly shown.
    \nPlease note.<\/strong> For school entries, a maximum of 10 exhibits in each Handicrafts Schedule Class. (not school registration class)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Entry fee:<\/strong><\/span> Free<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    Prizes:<\/span><\/strong> Honley Show rosettes awarded to Ist – 3rd place.
    \n<\/span>Trophies:<\/strong><\/span>
    \nNHW Wood Memorial Shield<\/strong> \u2013 Best Children\u2019s Exhibit. Trophy to be held for one year.<\/span>
    \nEileen Langley Trophy<\/strong> – To be awarded for the best group or classwork, 7 years and under. Held by the school and retained for one year.<\/span>
    \nSue Asher Trophy<\/strong> \u2013 To be awarded for the best artwork, any medium, 7 years and under.
    \nHolme Valley Trophy <\/strong>– To be awarded to a unique\/original\/independent piece of <\/span>Art or Craft work produced by a child aged 8 – 16years.
    \n<\/span>All trophies to be held for one year and remain the property of Honley Show Society Ltd. <\/span>

    We are looking for the most creative, freestyle constructions:<\/span>
    \nYou will need to show your age on the exhibit and it must be prepared independently! Try to create a \u2018Wow\u2019 response. Please limit the size to no more than approx. 32cm x32cm.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Class 30<\/strong> Age 5-7 years<\/span>
    \nClass 31<\/strong> Age 8-11 years<\/span><\/p>\n

    You can exhibit a 2D piece of art work using any medium chosen e.g. drawing, painting or digital art.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Class 25 <\/strong>A display using the theme \u2018Tea for Two\u2019. An arrangement for the centre of the table.<\/span>
    \nClass 26<\/strong> \u2018<\/strong>A\u00a0<\/strong>Seasonal Floral Ring\u2019 (door wreath). Size is optional. It may be brought already assembled.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00a0<\/strong>Have a Go Class:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Class 27 <\/strong>An arrangement of \u2018Flowers in a Shoe\u2019. It may be brought already assembled.<\/span><\/p>\n

    For more experienced lovers of flowers:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Class 28<\/strong>\u00a0\u2018Crown Jewels\u2019 – A petite exhibit.<\/strong> This exhibit may be submitted already prepared, but must not exceed Width 25cm, depth 25cm x 37cm Height.<\/span>
    \nClass 29<\/strong>\u00a0A display depicting \u2018A Sport at the Commonwealth Games\u2019 using natural plant materials and appropriate accessories. Width 75 x depth 75cm, Height optional<\/span><\/p>\n
